About me…

I have been an artisan for the much of my life. As the daughter of a poet, and as a trained artist and educator, I’ve spent all of my adult life creating, learning, and, eventually, teaching. 2022 starts my fifth year as a middle school ELA teacher for Charlotte Mecklenburg Schools. For the previous fifteen years (2004-2018), I worked in private boarding education, which allowed me the opportunity to teach art and art camps as well as upper school English at St. Andrew’s-Sewanee School. It was here, in Sewanee, TN, where I first began to sell my creations at the Sewanee Arts and Crafts Fair. I’m passionate about art and education. I’m a perfectionist and extremely detail-oriented; it is through my functional art that I am able to funnel my creative energies and share my craft in a meaningful and useful manner.
